Truthfully, third year is so much harder than I ever imagined. And half of that isn’t even the work itself; the pressure is insane. Everyone asks you what career you’re going to head into once you’ve graduated, everyone reminds you that your dissertation is the single most important piece of work you’ll ever do.

So… you’ve all moved in, you’ve probably attended your first few Fresher’s events, you’ve enrolled onto your course and now, you’re on your way to fully celebrating your new student life. Many will tell you the first month is the hardest, you’re in a brand new environment and you’re surrounded by brand new people.

I’ve been thinking about what I’d like to achieve for my third year and all the things I want to avoid this time round. I’ve done three years of this now so of course, over time I’ve picked up and learnt what works for me and what I shouldn’t bother with. So these are my third year goals.

And you’re probably pretty damn scared or excited right now. I completely feel you, three years ago (!!) I was in your exact same position. I was doing a BTEC in college so at this point, everything for university was confirmed and I was one hundred percent definitely heading off to Brighton in September.
