The Christmas Gift Guide

Whether you are stuck with gift ideas for your girl gang, mother hen, grandmother, sister, cousin, work colleague or niece (the list is endless) or simply looking for inspiration for yourself, I have put together a little gift guide for you of some of the things that *ahem* I love and some things that I truly think make the perfect gift. I have tried to keep it affordable, I know we are not all made of money and there are still so many beautiful, thoughtful and special gifts that do not require you to spend all the dollar.

Surviving The Party Season as an Introvert

I adore Christmas. I adore the festivities and ultimately, I do enjoy the parties and social interactions that come with the season. I love seeing family, friends and the front door feels like it is always open with random drop-ins. I love Christmas parties and gatherings. But, there is also another part of me, a big part that is well aware that realistically, I am an introvert. Christmas is already an overwhelming time of year with everything that is going on and missing out on anything definitely gives me a severe case of FOMO in this world of constantly updated social media. Add a long-list of invitations and commitments to that and you’ve got yourself a bit of a situation as an introvert.

The December Goals

Well, here it is. It is finally December! In my opinion, the greatest month of them all! I adore all the festivities and Christmas cheer we are seeing at the moment as the temperatures drop and the trees go up. It is now officially the perfect time to play the Michael Buble Christmas album into your car CD player (if you still have one of those) and crack out the prosecco at any given moment. It’s time to start decorating and assembling the gingerbread house and if you haven’t already, it’s time to get yourself into the loft to grab down the tree and find the decorations.

Staying Cosy This Winter

*Post Sponsered By Jack Wills

I don’t know about you guys… but I am blooming cold! This week alone I have dug out the electric blanket (what a beauty that is!), wrapped myself up in my rather impressive collection of throws and blankets, found my favourite bobble hat and slept in the fluffy PJ’s for the first time since February. It’s cold, Winter is definitely upon us and right about now, it’s time to get cosy.

Why I’m ok with not having it all together

Why I’m ok with not having it …

Alongside running this blog, I work part-time in a local pub. The one thing everyone asks me in that pub is ‘what are you going to do now you’ve got your degree?’ And minus a few people, most people don’t understand why a) I’m working in a pub in the first place b) I haven’t got a full-time fancy job in London yet, my own flat and my own independence… three months after receiving my degree. Most of the time, this chat doesn’t bother me, I’m well aware that they are simply making small talk with someone they know nothing about apart from going to university. But recently, I’ve had more people tell me the ‘horrors’ of getting degrees and you may not believe a number of times I’ve been told ‘it’s so hard getting a job with a degree now’ ‘my sisters cousins friend got a degree years ago and still hasn’t got a job’, ‘oooh, bet your in loads of debt now!’, they say with a grin on their face. Most of the time I just laugh and agree, because I’m sure most of is true but I can’t quite fight the niggling thought in my mind of… ‘these people don’t think I have together’. Do these people think I’m wasting my time? Wasting my degree?

What I love About Autumn

What I love About Autumn

Ok, ok, I know…. I’m slightly early to the whole ‘Autumn’ thing but honestly, ever since our two-week Summer ended, I have been secretly (well, not so secretly if you follow me on Twitter) wishing for Autumn to come its merry way. It almost seems a blogger requirement to adore Autumn but for as long as I can remember I have always craved for chilly air, short days and nights surrounded by blankets and fairy lights. I have fond memories of walking around London on beautiful grey days (yes I actually like cloudy days), early morning walks in the Autumn sunshine and cuddling up around the fire with Harry Potter on in the background whilst it rains outside.
