The Makeup That Makes The Perfect Gift

The Last Minute Beauty Picks

Can we honesty believe that Christmas Day is NEXT Sunday?! Honestly, how? Just last week I’m sure we were only just celebrating Guy Fawkes night?

With the shock of the speed of time aside; if you’re still on the hunt for some lovely pressies for your loved ones, you’re in a little bit of luck! I’ve rummaged through my (every-growing) makeup collection and found the beauty items that can make such wonderful gifts for a fellow makeup obsessive (or someone wanting to enter the makeup world!).

On a side note, I’ve decided not to feature Christmas specific gift sets just in case they’re sold out or will sell out in the run up to the big day. For that reason, I’ve just featured ‘single’ products that are all in stock at the time of posting (I have checked!) and should certainly stay in stock to make some lovely gifts this Christmas.

So, if you’ve got a sister who adores liquid lipsticks, a mother who could do with some new makeup brushes or a bestie who religiously watches Tanya Burr, I’ve got you well and truly sorted!

Grab yourself a hot chocolate (with plenty of marshmallows of course), stick a good ol’ Christmas movie on in the background (I would throughly recommend Disney’s The Santa Clause – just can’t go wrong!), grab your ‘presents to buy list’ and get ready to truly boss the Christmas presents this year!

There is nothing more satisfying than a fresh set of brand new brushes to play around with and there’s a reason Zoeva brushes are a firm favourite amongst the beauty community: they ooze luxury and impeccable quality for an incredibly reasonable price. A bonus is the packaging they arrive in is always really lovely too.

Anything from NARS will make the perfect gift but their little eyeshadow duos perfectly pack a punch. The shadows formula is one of my favourites and they have a lovely contemporary, luxury feel that makes receiving it a very exciting moment. The same goes for the Naked 3 (or any of them!) palette from Urban Decay. Such beautiful packaging that hold the most stunning selection of shades; these always go down well! Lastly, a Tanya Burr palette is perfect for both the YouTube and beauty fans alike. Ideal for the younger generation perhaps just entering the makeup world, this particular ‘Birthday Suit palette features beautiful neutral tones in Tanya’s super pretty packaging.

When I was fist dipping my feet into the world of makeup, I used to sneakily steal my mum’s Benefits blushes, they were the one thing I really wanted to own! Pretty packaging and beautiful shades make the Benefit boxed blushes a lovely gift, Coralista is the perfect all rounder that everyone seems to love and Hoola is an increadibly staple bronzer that will make its self at home in anyone’s makeup bag.

For those who really love that luxury feel, the YSL Touche Eclat is a beautifully famous option. It’s a beauty item that, like the brand itself, is universally loved and adored by many generations. For those who are really into the whole highlighting/brightening trend, this one is perfect!

And finally, we know that 2016 was the year liquid lipsticks and are a pretty safe but lovely option for anyone who loves a bit of colour! The Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks are perfect all-rounders; beautiful shades, impressive formula and a lasting time that means you don’t have to remember to bring these out with you. And because they’re only in Debenhams and still fairly new on the UK scene, they’re a little bit special!

What one makeup item would you like to receive (or give!) as a gift this Christmas? Only 11 days to go!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Here’s to 2017!
