The Barcelona Photo Diary

The 21st Birthday Treat

There was no place I’d rather had been on my 21st birthday than beautiful Barcelona. The second we walked out of the airport and into the last of day’s Spanish sun we were greeted by the most beautiful sunset complimented by plenty of palm trees, providing the most perfect Instagram shot. And we’d only been there two minutes.

Barcelona is stunning and was one of my favourite places to just simply admire. Beautiful architecture, rich history, blissful beaches and so much to do, it’s certainly one to stick on top of your travel destinations. We took the trip slow; sight-seeing and exploring the first day, a full beach day the next and then a relaxed stroll around the city centre on the final day.

I couldn’t recommend the sight-seeing city buses more, they’re the most perfect way to travel and see the city, especially when it’s so ridiculously hot and humid. The food is AMAZING and there’s nothing more lovely that sitting outside on a busy Barcelona street eating away in the evening light.

I had the most amazing, relaxing three days in Barcelona and couldn’t recommend this city more. I’m going to keep this post simple and let the pictures do the talking purely because writing this is giving me pretty bad holiday blues. And because British weather seems to have gone a bit downhill considering it’s August…
