For The Casual But Pretty Looks
I don’t know about you, but I love eyeshadow. I love the freedom that eyeshadow gives you to be completely creative and free in what ever look you decide to go for; gorgeous and glittery, nice and neutral or sassy and smokey. The limits are endless!
For daytime, I like to keep things nice and simple, usually a bronze matte base colour, keeping it nice and matte with a darker crease colour to add definition and then a beautifully shimmery highlight in the middle of the lid (makes your eyes look bigger, y’know!) and in the tear duct. Job’s a good’n!
My perfect eyeshadow palette contains a good amount of complimentary shadows, intense pigmentation, a smooth and blendable formula and lots of mattes. It’s so easy now as more and more brands are bringing out completely matte palettes but what about those days were you do want just a little glitter? I’ve rounded up my favourite three daytime palettes which tick every box!

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3
I.e… the perfect every day budget palette. At just four whole pound (yes I know!!) this is absolutely perfect for quick and easy everyday looks and for chucking in your makeup bag. This gives you 12 beautiful shades to work with that are of high quality; the texture isn’t crazy chalky, they’re all easily blendable and last for agggggges. There’s a good amount of mattes, so you already know I love it and oh… did I mention that this a pretty impressive dupe for the Naked 3 Palette?
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
You’re probably wondering why I’m featuring this if I’ve already featured it’s dupe but there is just something about this palette that I love and keep coming back too. The shadow quality is, as expected, pretty amazing; beautifully creamy, perfect for blending and the glitter shadows make me so happy. It’s mainly a rose-gold palette, which I’m loving, the pinks and golds are perfect for every day and, if need be, this palette can easily take you from day to night. The Makeup Revolution version is great, but if you can stretch to this, I really would.
Estee Lauder Bronze Dunes Palette
If you’re more a gold person, then this palette is for you. With only five shadows to choose from, it’s a beautifully simple palette that doesn’t overwhelm you with choice. Estee Lauder go above and beyond with their shadows, so amazingly pigmented and long-lasting, I find myself reaching for this more often than not. Despite their being only two mattes in this palette, I still love it. I use the matte champagne colour all over the lid and that matte brown in the crease and the white is just the perfect highlighting shade. You don’t need anymore. A more high-end option, but truly worth every penny.
