Oh, Rome. I miss you, very much. I miss your beautiful sunshine. I miss that your city allows me to wear cute Summer clothes. I miss your quaint, cobbled streets that always made me feel as if I was in a soft, dramatic rom-com you watch when you’re under the weather. I miss the atmosphere where everyone was astounded by your beauty, I miss the gasps and “oh, look at that, isn’t that beautiful?”. I miss your pasta and I really miss your pizza. Sitting in my bedroom in a cosy jumper and distinct lack of charming hotel interior just doesn’t compare to what I was able to see and experience during my three-day trip to the very alluring, Rome.
Three beautiful days, filled with aching feet, scary Metro rides but also warmth, laughter, culture, experiences and memories that are so wonderfully and permanently sketched into my brain. Rome is truly spectacular and there aren’t words created in the English language that can adequately describe such beauty. So, in this case, I’m going to let the photographs do the talking. They say that photographs are worth a thousand words. Yet, I feel that most of these images are so much more than that, attached to these colourful pixels are my memories, the history, the culture, how the weather was that day, the conversations we had, the sights we saw. They are simply, so much more than just photographs. I wish i could go into detail with you every beautiful story behind these photo’s, but some things are simply better left for you to discover yourself. So yes, this is a pretty image heavy post, but I sure do hope these pictures capture even just a little of the pure and utter raw beauty that is the little corner of Italy, Rome. So without further ado, please do enjoy the Rome photo diary.
P.S This isn’t even half of the pictures I took.
P.S.S Actually, this isn’t even a quarter of what I took…
