Benefit ‘Coralista’ / The first ever blusher I’d ever used; I used to steal this from my mother’s makeup collection back in the day before I knew even a thing about makeup and application; I did somewhat resemble an clown but that’s another story for another day! There’s a reason this blush has such a big fan-base; it’s fantastically pigmented (a little goes a long way) and has the perfect balance between pink and orange hues; making it my favourite coral in my collection. There’s also an incredible gold sheen alongside this which should be flattering on most skintones. I love this; it’s perfect for warming up the complexion and whilst most consider it more of a Summer hue, I can’t help but pick this one up all year round.
Illasmasqua ‘Promise’ / I may not be the biggest fan of cream blush finishes; but it’s safe to say that this Illasmasqua is one of the most promising (and lovely) I have tried. It’s definitely quite ‘bubblegum’ pink so you only need the tiniest bit and you’re good to go. In terms of lasting power, it’s quite impressive; this manages to sit well on-top of foundation and doesn’t slide off throughout the day and has a lovely dewy finish I crave every now and again.
Max Factor Creme Puff ‘Lovely Pink’ / When these were hailed the dupes of the ‘oh-so-famous (and popular) Hourglass blushes, I practically ran to Boots to go and pick one up; I settled on… wait for it, pink and it was pretty much love at first swatch. Like Coralista, this has a wonderful mixture of pink of gold which again, is really rather flattering but this applies much softer than Coralista, so pretty perfect for someone who likes a more natural look. What’s more, these are beautiful, buildable and would make the perfect addition to anyone’s make up bag.
