When Kiko opened up in Brighton earlier this year, I simply knew it was going to be recipe for disaster (my bank balance’s loss is their gain after all). Since discovering the delights of their Oxford Street store back in May, I’ve become quite the fan of Kiko. Their products are affordable and the quality is outstanding and really quite impressive. Also, actually shopping in store is a really enjoyable experience; there’s plenty of staff on hand if you need help but if, like me, you’re one of those people who enjoy makeup browsing and picking on your own, all of the products are on display waiting for you to grab them.

Bronze and shimmer is my weakness, double them up and I’m literal eyeshadow heaven. This is so unbelievably pigmented and rich, it’s no surprise it ended up coming home with me. The colour is beautifully intense; a deep brown with copper undertones, teamed perfectly with some gold shimmer. This is the perfect contender for a smokey eye; rich but creamy which allows to be easily blended to create a flawless look. A beautiful, beautiful eyeshadow that I just can’t put down.

I’ve been having a bit of a purple love affair recently; purples and lilacs are perfect not only for these Winter months, but go really well with brown eyes, which is all just a bonus really! 256 is a dusty purple which has this magnificent, almost metallic finish which I’m really digging at the moment. The colour is just gorgeous and reflects off the light wonderfully. This particular eyeshadow needs a little bit of extra effort to build it up, but the result is so well worth it, I don’t mind layering it up, especially as it doesn’t crease. This can create some really beautiful looks and basically, I need to purchase one of the Kiko Palettes so I can just buy more.
Moon Shadow Water Infused Eyeshadow in 03 /
The Midnight Siren Collection really intrigued me; when I saw the initial press release I was, as always, immediately drawn to the eye crayons, just from the pictures alone you could tell just how impressive these were. Packaging wise, this are my favourite out of the three products I brought, it has that wonderful luxury feel to it, without the hefty price tag attached (i.e. I’m a big fan). I picked 03, a darker, more smokier purple that I just couldn’t resist. The cream eyeshadow itself is so creamy and velvety but stays put on the eye as soon as you apply it. The red shimmer really catches the light and offers you a wonderfully intense look. It’s no wonder this is the product that excites me the most. With a wonderful finish, this is perfect for just applying, smudging out, teaming with black mascara and heading out. I’m a big fan and will be picking up the rest of these before they completely sell out!
