A beautiful berry red shade is an absolute must for the Winter season and finding which one to choose (especially if you’re not sure what one/shade to go for) can be quite a challenge. So, say hello to your new lipstick best friend! The Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstick in ‘107’ is peeeerfect for that Winter berry shade! It’s a dark berry shade with bright red undertones, a really pretty shade that suits every skin tone! Yay!
First off, I really love the packaging! You rarely see any red packaging on lipsticks so this really stands out in my collection, I love that it’s matte; it just works really well and I love the simple design; the Rimmel logo on top, the black ring and just Kate’s signature scribbled on the lid. All very simple and effective.
As for the actual product? I just adore it! This has been my staple this winter for so many reasons. First off, it’s a matte finish; I know some may not be a big fan of this, but I personally love that it’s matte. I think this is such a perfect colour to be matte and because of this; it really, really stays on the lips for hours and fades evenly – which is an essential for such a bold colour! I have no problem applying this at all, it goes on really creamy and incredibly pigmented so need to build up the colour. If you have dry lips, you will definitely need to scrub and moisturise heavily before applying this, because of it’s matte finish this will highlight any dry areas on your lips. When I scrub my lips before applying this I get a really even and nice finish so it’s definitely worth it!
This does have a slight scent, to me it smells quite floral and it’s really pleasant. It’s not overpowering at all and you don’t notice it on the lips either. Personally, I prefer the scent of this compared to the scent of MAC’s lipsticks!
Overall, I just adore this lipstick! I wear this so often I have a feeling I’m going to need to repurchase this again very soon! But I do, I adore this, I feel that it really adds warmth and brightens up my face and just looks amazing in Winter. I have no doubt I’m going to be wearing this Christmas day! I did last year! 🙂
