I love fall, no I take that back, I really love fall! Without a doubt it’s my favourite season. I’m looking forward to warm snuggly nights, candles, hot chocolate (cream & marshmallows and even sprinkles will do) scarfs, hats, soup, gloves, layering up, big fluffy clothes, onesies, frost, toasted sandwiches, and dark days. I don’t know why exactly but I love dark days, especially on Sundays which of course is the national lazy day so they literally go hand in hand together with some click flicks added in for good measure.
Another thing I love about fall is the fashion. Coats, scarfs, laying up… I love it all and it’s the one season I enjoy dressing up in, I’m terrible in summer, it’s literally just shorts and a vest… not very adventurous at all! But I mainly love the fall makeup, dark berry lips, a neutral eye.. oh, I just cannot wait! In fact, I’m already getting started!
To start this look off I applied some of Revlon’s Nearly Naked foundation (a must, must, must have!) all over my face (I’m not entirely sure where else you would put it really…) using my favourite RT Face Expert Brush as for me a bit of dewiness, even in Autumn, is a must. I then used Benefit’s Erase Paste to cover all those ugly red bits again using the Expert Face Brush. For my eyes I used my well-loved Nearly Naked Palette; ‘Half Baked’ over my lid up to the crease, ‘Smog’ ever so lighting in the crease and outer corner, also under my lash line lightly and then Virgin as a highlight. For eyeliner I used L’Oreal Super Liner to create a (really bad, mind you) flick and then finally, Benefit’s Bad Gal mascara to work on those lashes. To fill in my barely there brows, I used the dark matte brown colour in the Sleek Storm palette just to define them a bit as well. On my cheeks I used Elf’s ‘Candid Coral’ (which isn’t really coral at all…), MAC’s Soft and Gentle and then just a little bit of the powder from Look Beauty to set it all. Berry lips are incredibly hot for Autumn, I didn’t manage to try any last year but this year I’m am definitely going to pick up some red and purple berry shades but in the meantime the closest I had was Mac ‘Fire Sign’ which is a irresistible dark red.
Oooh, doesn’t it just get you excited?! In fact, the moment I move into Uni the first thing I’m buying is hot chocolate and marshmallows! Yay! What’s your favourite Fall look?
