Primped out Lip Bag/Luxurious Pink MAC

Did anyone else get a tiny bit excited when they saw these babies on the Mac website just before Christmas?! I knew as soon as I saw just one I needed it! If you haven’t seen these basically Mac did a little lip gift set which contained a make up bag, a lipstick, lipgloss and lipliner. I can’t remember how many there was and all the colours but I know there was a red and a pink set! I asked for ‘Luxurious Pink’ and good ol’ Santa delivered it!

♥ The Bag: The bag itself is very small and I wondered originally if I would have any use for it, at the moment, I’m just using it to store the three products and I don’t want to separate them yet! (Sad I know…) but I think I will use this as a little emergency kit for my bag, y’know those kits every girl should have with all the essentials, hairbands, lip balm etc etc. Defiantly the perfect size to pop in your handbag! I found the clasp at top really hard to open and it doesn’t seem to be any easier.. though, this may not be a fault with the actual product just the fact I’m a weakling… still, I love the super-cute leopard print design on the outside and inside it has a handy little pocket! Even the box the whole thing comes in is adorable!

♥ Lipstick: The lipstick is called ‘Lickable’ and is of a cremesheen formula meaning it isn’t the most pigmented lipstick in the world but it is very build-able if you wish for a stronger colour. It’s incredibly creamy and somewhat moisturising meaning it’s a bit suitable for sufferers of dry lips than say a matte lipstick. It’s a beautiful dark pink and even has very small particles of silver glitter throughout giving it a lovely shiny and glossy finish. I find these lasts for about an hour, (even less if teamed with the lipgloss) so you would need to reapply if you wanted the colour to last all night.

♥ Lipgloss: The lipgloss is a cremesheen glass and called ‘Call me Gorgeous’ (don’t you just love these names?!). It’s really glossy and pigmented meaning it can be worn alone and not just over lipstick. It’s not sticky at all and I love the bow design on the packaging. I’m not the biggest fan of lipgloss personally but I can’t deny this is a lovely product which completes the whole look and I’m really hoping to get some use out of this.

♥ Lipliner: Finally, the lipliner is called ‘Great Catch’ and is a mini-lipliner. I’m really bad at using lip-liner and rarely ever use it but when I was practising using this I found it was quite creamy which is nice as lipliners I’ve used in the past were quite hard thus not very nice to apply to your lips!

Overall, this is a fantastic little set and I’m so happy I was lucky enough to get one! As well, I think this was around £40 (I could be wrong) which although seems expensive, I think it’s actually a good price for what you get and probably works out about right. These were a perfect gift for a girlfriend, best friend, mum, daughter etc so if these come out again, I would definitely consider getting one! Such a fantastic buy for what you get! Perfect!

Did you get one of these in your stockings last year? What do you think? 🙂
